The Samsung G600-Pink
The G600 is a stylish phone that is designed and manufactured by Samsung.  It is made from two types of plastics, polycarbonate and  acrylonitrile and is avaliable to buy from many online stores including http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/9540662/Samsung-G600-Virgin-Pre-Pay-Mobile-Phone/Product.html
This is a phone that i own. I chose to put it on here because although it is more than two years old it still has a neat and sophisticated shape and style. The small amount of pink on it it makes the phone more girlish but with the majority of the phone being silver this makes sure that its not overly feminine.

The AlessiTab Tablet
This is a new multimedia tablet designed by Stefano Giovannoni and manufactured by Alessi and Promelit. This aluminium touch screen device will be released in November 2010 and will cost £400. You can buy this product online at http://www.laptopshop.co.uk/news/2010/09/alessitab-tablet-pc-coming-in-november-and-will-cost-400-200/ or in any major electrics store.

I like the multipurpose design of this product, how it can be used as a computer or flipped over to an upright position and used as a television. The fact that it isn’t too heavy or big means it can be moved around easily. It could even be used in the kitchen to follow recipes off of.

This luxury ”Diamond Fiction”  watch was designed and manufactured by Tag Heuer at his Chaux-de-Fonds workshop. It is a bracelet of red satin and 879 top Wesselton diamonds, and when a button at the side is pressed some of the diamonds change to red offering the time in a digital display. These watches have a value of around £ 87,000 and can be found on                           http://www.tagheuer.com/the-collection/women-collection/index.lbl

I really like the bright red colour of the satin bracelet and how it helps the diamonds appear to be jumping out of the watch. The way that the diamonds are placed on the bracelet are uneven around the edges and this makes me think of the expression “dripping with diamonds”

Bionic Lanterns
These lanterns were designed and manufactured by Roberto + Colleen Crivello. They are made from powder coated Steel, clear silicone feet and require a pillar style candle up to 3” diameter or a LED battery powered puck. Bionic lanterns are avalible to buy online at http://www.botanistseries.com/products/bionic-skulls-lanterns#section-0 at a starting price of £135

I love the way the dark base colour of these tribal themed lanterns contrast with the bright light that shines through the patterns, it almost gives the impression that the face is on fire. I think its effective how the outlines of the face are then projected much larger onto the walls of the room. Perhaps these lanterns would create a good atmosphere for a halloween party.

Nirvana chair
The Nirvana chair was designed and manufactured by Sussex based engineer Adrian Thornber, who was inspired by the retro style of the 1960s. The chair is made from stainless steel and sheepskins. These chairs are not available to buy in shops and are only shown at one or two exhibitions per year, ensuring they remain very exclusive and highly desirable. The price for these chairs starts at £1195. http://www.nirvanachairs.com/
I have chosen this chair as one of my desired items because its very unique  design and shape is different to any other piece of furnutre people would have in their homes. The contrast of the fluffy sheepskin sitting on the strong stainless steel tells me that this chair is ideal for both inside and outside use.
